Issue after switching back to Domestic SIM (iPhones)

Modified on Tue, 7 Oct at 8:29 AM

If you are using an iPhone handset and you are unable to connect to cellular data after removing our SIM / eSIM and reverting back to your domestic SIM / eSIM, you may need to manually remove the APN (Access Point Name) profile that was installed for our service.

On most iPhone handsets, you can do this by going to:

Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > Tap on the profile > Remove the Profile

After you press remove you may be asked to enter a passcode. If so, please enter the passcode you use to unlock the phone.

After removing the profile, you may also be required to reset the network settings on your device which can usually be performed by going to:

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

(or)

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Confirm

Once complete, please reboot your device and your iPhone handset will then likely reinstall the APN profile that’s required for your domestic SIM card (and allow you to access cellular data again).

If the issue persists (due to your device failing to reinstall the required APN profile) however, you may need to discuss this with the support team for your domestic service provider (or refer to their support guides / information). They should then be able to provide you with a direct link to download the required APN profile or provide you with additional instructions.
