International Roaming
The latest 5G version of our Voice+Data eSIM product (which is named "Voice+Data 5G eSIM), offers a roaming option which will allow you to utilize the calling / SMS messaging features while outside of Japan. Please note that cellular data access will not be available outside of Japan.

Replacements / Device Transfer
Physical SIM Cards
If the SIM is on a long term plan and it is Lost / Stolen / Damaged, you can purchase a replacement (and retain the current phone number)
eSIMs
If the device containing your eSIM is Lost / Stolen or you need to transfer the eSIM to a new device, you can pay for the eSIM to be re-issued (and retain the current phone number)

Only one Long Term Plan is available at a monthly rate
Plan Changes
Only the Long Term plan mentioned above is available when using a Voice Lite SIM / eSIM
Usage Fees
Usage fees can be applied for calls, texts and use of the voicemail feature
A data usage fee can also be applied if you exceed the 500MB monthly data allowance

Number Porting
Phone numbers cannot be transferred. You will be assigned a new Japanese phone number (which will be lost if the plan is terminated)
International Roaming
This product type does not support international roaming and so it will not be possible to place / receive calls, send / receive SMS messages or access cellular data while outside of Japan
Replacements / Device Transfer
If the SIM or eSIM is Lost / Stolen and you purchase a replacement, it will be assigned a new phone number.
When switching to a new device, physical SIM cards can be transferred, but if you are using an eSIM, a replacement eSIM will be required, and it will be assigned a new phone number.
*Please note that the iPhone version of this SIM / eSIM can only be installed in an iPhone, and the same restriction applies for the Android version
