Delivery Option (Voice SIMs/eSIMs)
For all Voice capable SIM/eSIM products (such as our Voice+Data SIM/eSIM service or our Voice Lite SIM / eSIM service), there are specific I.D. restrictions that we have to follow due to Japanese law.
If you select our delivery option during the checkout process, the I.D. requirements for that specific country will be displayed after entering the shipping address.
Once you have placed your order, you will then receive a confirmation email (usually within 15 minutes) which will ask you to upload a copy of the required form of I.D.
We would then ship the SIM Card or the eSIM access code (directly to the address shown on your I.D.) once your I.D upload has been accepted.
Collection Option (Voice SIMs/eSIMs)
If you select our collection option instead of the delivery option, you will not be asked for an I.D. upload.
You will only be required to show your passport to the collection point agent (upon arrival) and your order confirmation.
Data-Only Products
The I.D. requirements only apply to our Voice capable products.
If you are only purchasing a Data-Only product, you will not be asked to upload a copy of your I.D.
